Dr Christopher Hartley FRSA FAIM FAICD LLD (Hon)


Chris was made Chairman of the Board at the 2015 AGM and also fullfils the role of Sydney City Network Convenor. Chris has had a corporate career throughout Europe and Asia, as CFO and then CEO of Australian and International entities. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Company Directors (FAICD) and brings a wealth of governance and Board experience. 

Involved in several global initiatives, such as the Commonwealth Leaders program, Chris was instrumental to the success of the RSA Enterprising Justice event in Sydney 2014, and the 'Flourish Luncheon' in Brisbane with RSA President, Her Royal Highness, The Princess Royal. His focus remains on growing the impact and sustainability of the RSA in the southern hemisphere. 

Cricket, rowing and cognac rank highly amongst his passions.

Philipa Duthie FRSA

RSA A+NZ Executive Officer

Philipa joined the RSA A+NZ team in 2012 and is responsible for all general administrative matters. She is the first point of contact for any enquiries regarding Fellowship and subscription status and is the A+NZ contact for the UK Fellowship team. 

Philipa comes from an academic and research background and has previously worked for the higher education sector and Queensland state government. She regularly challenges her creativity by coming up with new things to amuse and feed her young family.

Bevan Killick represents New Zealand on the Board and has also been appointed Treasurer.  Bevan is a Christchurch based professional director, chartered accountant, chartered insurance practitioner and chartered member of the Institute of Directors.  After spending 12 years working in senior roles in the Lloyd’s of London insurance market, Bevan returned to Christchurch and established a full time career as a professional director, strategist and expert witness on matters of corporate solvency and directors’ duties.

Bevan holds governance positions in the insurance, property, financial services, health care and hospitality sectors.  In 2013 he became the youngest ever President of the 142 year old Canterbury Club.

In 2004 Bevan was granted the Freedom of the City of London and is a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of World Traders.  In 2014 Bevan was recognised as a “World Class New Zealander” by the Kiwi Expat Association (“KEA”).  Bevan is a keen traveller and has climbed Mt Kilimanjaro.

Megan Saunders FRSA


Megan joins the Board as Secretary and Board Member for Queensland. She has more than 20 years’ experience in media and government, federal and state and has developed a deep appreciation of the importance of using collaborative peer networks to drive innovation and positive outcomes for communities. Throughout her career, she has been connected to debate and policy around issues as diverse as education, indigenous empowerment, immigration and multiculturalism and climate change.

Mark Strachan FRSA

Board Director

Mark is a passionate designer and educator with many years of industry and consultancy experience in systems, services and product development.  He is committed to interdisciplinary human-centred collaborative design and strategic development.  

Mark’s teaching specialises in the supervision of final Honours year projects in the disciplines of Industrial Design, Interior Architecture and Product Design Engineering at the Faculty of Health, Arts and Design, Swinburne University, Melbourne.  

Mark is also a director of Slavery Links an Australian not-for-profit humanitarian organization.

Erica Myers-Tattersall FRSA

Board Director

Erica joins Mark Strachan as our second Victorian Board Member. Erica is an experienced charity consultant, fundraising specialist and professional DJ. She loves finding great brands, people and organisations and bringing them together to make an impact. In her current role as Managing Director of Xponential Fundraising, Erica builds networks that cross boundaries – corporates, small business, community groups, volunteers, philanthropists, and foundations to leverage resources, skills and financial support to create remarkable outcomes.
